Both suspects in custody

Two suspects in a shooting Thursday at the corner of Carberry Road and Moulder Drive in Howard Township were in custody today in the St. Joseph County, Ind., Jail pending extradition to Cass County.

Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Drug Enforcement Team investigators tracked 21-year-old suspects Anthony Bostick and Kayla Johnson to 1610 S. Marine St., South Bend.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. Aug. 30, Cass County investigators and South Bend Police Department officers located the suspects and arrested them without incident.

The weapon believed used in the crime was found hidden at this residence.

Bostick, on parole in Michigan, was being held for attempted murder and parole violation.

Johnson was being charged with aiding and abetting a felony crime.

Additional charges are expected as the investigation proceeds, according to the sheriff’s office.
