Niles girls fourth at Big Hill Invitational

THREE RIVERS – The Niles girls cross country team finished fourth at the Big Hill Invitational hosted by Three Rivers Tuesday.

The Viking boys team was sixth.

Marshall won both the boys and girls team titles, which are decided by total time from the Novice and Veteran Divisions.

The Niles boys team had a combined time of 1:52:21. The girls had a combined time of 2:11:33.

Ryan Roberts was sixth in the Novice Division with a time of 21:07. Noah Hall was 12th (21:52) and Charles Leonard 14th (21:56). The top 15 runners all received medals.

Bridgett Carpenter, Abby Gaines and Libby Heins all earned medals with top 15 finishes in the Veteran Division.

Carpenter was eighth in 25:03 and Gaines ninth in 25:06. Hein placed 11th with a time of 25:54.

Allison Grant placed 13th in the Novice Division with a time of 27:22.
