Bobcats top Mishawaka 5-1

The Brandywine tennis team rebounded from its season-opening loss to Niles earlier in the day to defeat visiting Mishawaka 5-1 at Niles High School Wednesday.

The Bobcats (1-1) swept the singles flights.

Mike Robbins had to go three sets at No. 1 singles to defeat Jon Dickenson. Robbins won the first set 7-5, but dropped the second set to Dickenson 4-6. Robbins regroup and came away with a 6-4 victory in the final set.

Kyle Duncan improved to 2-0 on the year with a 6-3 and 6-1 win over Andy Dong.

Chance Smith and Tanner Bourdon both earned their first wins of the season in singles, while Alex Brooks and Lucas Hoffman finished the day at 1-1 with a three-set victory over Nate Vaughn and Wes Demonia.
