ThUnderdogs win Bluffton Bash

The Niles ThUnderdogs travel baseball team from Howard Township Baseball won the 12U Bluffton Bash Tournament in Bluffton, Ind. this past weekend.

After losing their opening game of the tournament, the ThUnderdogs battled back, defeating Columbia City, Bluffton and the Muncie Mud Dogs en rout to the championship game.

In the title tilt, the ThUnderdogs defeated the Wells County Diamond Diggers, who had competed earlier this year in the Cooperstown, Pa. World Series.

Niles trailed 5-0 to the Diamond Diggers after one inning of play, but rallied to post a 15-9 victory.

The ThUnderdogs used strong pitching and hitting to win the championship.
