location for all things anima from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29.

Buchanan Art Center will host the event and is taking applications from those who have businesses involving animals and would like booth space at this year’s festival. Last year’s participants included dog shelters, those making pet treats and pet accessories, groomers and trainers, beekeeping and clubs, such as 4-H.

This year’s festival will include a raffle for a pastel portrait of the winner’s pet, photos taken with pets, face-painting for children, petting area, doggie kissing booth, craft session making pet’s paw print in clay and raffles for a variety of products throughout the day. There will also be the annual blessing of the animals performed at First Presbyterian Church by Pastor Pat Ramsden.

Applications are available through the event website at bacnow.org/festival. Rental for a 10-by-10-foot booth is $20 and deadline for application is Sept. 1.
