Margaret L. Davis (Grinage), 86, of Shelbyville, Mich., passed away May 11, 2012.

Margaret graduated from Niles High School in 1942 and went on to obtain her registered nursing degree from Cook County Hospital in Chicago. While in nurses training, Margaret was a member of the Army Nurses Cadet Corp. Margaret’s nursing career included working at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, William Crispe Hospital and Pipp Community Hospital, both in Plainwell, Mich. She later retired from the Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital in 1988.

Margaret was preceded in death in by her husband of 52 years, Harold D. Davis, in 2003; parents, Orlo and Bessie Grinage; brother, Clayton; and sister, Marjorie.

She is survived by her children, Michael and Christine Davis, of Mattawan, Mich., and Patricia and Lawrence Hale, of Shelbyville, Mich.; her sister, Beatrice L. Cusick, of Niles; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. The Williams-Gores Funeral Home, in Delton, served the family.
