Charles E. “Junior” Lintz Jr., 50, of Huntly Road, Niles, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at M-60 East and Lilac Drive, Niles, of injuries from a pedestrian accident.

He was born June 8, 1961, in Niles to Charles Edward Lintz Sr. and Marion Joann Gibbs. Junior attended Niles Community Schools and lived in Niles all his life.

He had been employed at Forrest River Inc. He was formerly employed at the Jack Post company, and for many years at Office-Mart. He was a fan of NASCAR automobile racing, with a special interest in the late driver Dale Earnhart Sr. and the current drive Dale Earnhart Jr.

Junior also enjoyed cooking outdoors on the barbecue and the fellowship of family and friends around the picnic table.
He is survived by his sons, Brian Jacobs, of Niles, and Cody Thomas, of Buchanan; daughter, Misty Vaughn, of Niles; two grandsons, James Vaughn and Tucker Vaughn; a granddaughter, Kayden Jacobs; mother, Marion (Fred) Goffeney, of Niles; brother, Randy Lintz, of Niles; sister, Robin Lintz, of Niles; and several nieces and nephews and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Lintz Sr., who died Jan. 22, 2002; and his sister, Pamela Brigham, who died July 10, 2007.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with Pastor Daniel A. Greegor, of Sumnerville Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
