Dr. Blackmon starts April 9

Borgess Lee Medical Group welcomes Robert C. Blackmon, IV, MD, internal medicine specialist.
“We welcome Dr. Blackmon to the Borgess-Lee family,” said Joy Strand, administrator and chief operating officer, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
“His addition to Borgess Lee Medical Group means our patients will have greater access to experienced, comprehensive internal medicine care.”
Blackmon graduated with his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md., as well as a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va.
Prior to Borgess Lee Medical Group, Blackmon most recently served as a hospitalist at Lawton Indian Hospital in Oklahoma and as Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) at Veterans Health Administration in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Doctors of internal medicine are physicians who focus on adults and have had special study and training that centers on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases.
Blackmon will reside in the Dowagiac area and begin seeing adults and seniors at Donald Lyons Health Center, 520 Main St., Suite A, starting April 9.
