ST. JOSEPH — The Brandywine tennis team opened up the Lakeland Conference portion of its schedule Wednesday afternoon at the South Shore Racquet Club against Bridgman.
The Bobcats, who played to a 4-4 draw with rival Niles Monday, had no trouble racking up its first victory of the season against the Bees. Brandywine swept all eight flights to win 8-0.
The most competitive match of the day was at No. 3 singles where Ember Brant defeated Kayla DeMorrow in three sets, 6-3, 6-7 and 7-6.
“The whole team played well, especially Alissa and Caitlyn who just cruised,” Brandywine coach Joe Marazita said.
