Students packed the Niles High School gymnasium Monday night to watch their teachers pummel each other with dodge balls.

And it wasn’t just the teachers. Administrators and support staff also took part in the first ever faculty dodge ball tournament.

The purpose of the event was to raise funds for Niles Project Graduation, which promises the Class of 2012 a fun and safe night out after graduation.

Teams were split into the faculty from each of the district’s school buildings.

Teams faced off in a round robin style tournament, while students and parents cheered from the stands.

Event organizers said the goal was to raise more than $1,500 from the event.
