Matt Lyle and Dontel Highsmith have been named the Daily News Athletes of the Week sponsored by TCU.

Lyle picked up a pair of victories last week as the Chieftains split matches against Comstock and Covert.

Highsmith scored 30 points as Dowagiac fell to Otsego in a battle for Wovlerine Conference unbeatens.

High 30 points left Highsmith just 33 points away from reaching the 1,000 point plateau for his career.
