John S. Crouse, 96, of Mason Township, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Elkhart.
He was born May 25, 1915, in Mason Township to Frank and Zola (Owen) Crouse. He married Beatrice Clay. She preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 1996.  He was also preceded in death by one sister, Frances Duncan, and one brother, Harold Crouse.
He was a lifelong resident of Mason Township. He was born, raised and worked the family farm.
John is survived by three sisters: Evelyn Lee of Elkhart, Ind.; Pearl Rodgers of Goshen, Ind.; and Mary Weldy of Elkhart.
Family and friends will gather Thursday, Jan. 12, from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway St., Cassopolis. Interment will be in Kessington Cemetery, Mason Township.
