Larry Trussell brings more than 40 years of experience to his new business, Trussell’s Complete Auto Repair, located in the formerly Simplicity Pattern Co. building.

Trussell, of Niles, opened his shop full-time three weeks ago; he moved into the 3,000-square-foot space in October. His son, Ben, of South Bend, is also a mechanic at his shop. Quality Composites also has space in the 785,000-square-foot building, and French Paper Co. stores paper there.

Trussell worked at Randy’s Auto Service in Niles for about 10 years. He is a licensed general mechanic who also has built race cars out of his home.

Although they have experience building drag car chassis, the Trussells also offer full-line automotive repair with what Larry calls “personalized service and affordable prices.”

“I do take good care of people,” he said. “I’m a customer-oriented person.”

Since opening, Trussell’s Auto Repair has been offering 10 percent off discounts at local companies and for senior citizens. Larry said he has many regular customers who followed him after he left Randy’s.

Trussell’s Complete Auto Repair is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, It is located at 820 N. 12 St. , Niles. Turn north on North 12th Street from Wayne Street. Enter the open gate by the Simplicity sign and call Trussell’s at 684-2277; Larry meets customers at the front door.

“It’s worth the hassle,” he said.
