EAU CLAIRE — The Cassopolis wrestling team finished fourth at the Burton Richards Memorial Invitational Saturday at Eau Claire High School.

Decatur was the team champion with 201 points. Watervliet finished second with 186.5, Lawton third with 166 and Cassopolis fourth with 86.5.

Tyler Butrick (130) was the lone individual champion for the Rangers. He defeated Lui9s Mendoza of Fennville in the finals, 6-4.

Khalil Brown (112) was third, Shauntrell Gilliam (125) fourth, Sebastian Westphal (152) fourth and Dominic Forbes (189) third.

At Gobles

Cassopolis split a pair of non-conference matches last Wednesday night.

The Rangers defeated host Gobles 36-27, but were defeated by Parchment 42-31.

Winning two matches were Khalil Brown, Tyler Butrick, Zack Newton, Ian Montgomery and Dominic Forbes.

Skylar Wall earned a victory in a JV match.
