Visiting Lakeshore held a 28-10 advantage in the scoring column in the middle two quarters Tuesday night as it defeated Edwardsburg 50-32 in girls’ basketball action.

The Lancers (3-1) led 15-10 at the first break and 27-15 at halftime. After holding the Eddies (2-2) to just five points for the second straight quarter, Lakeshore owned a 43-20 lead with eight minutes remaining.

Ashley Streb led Edwardsburg with 14 points before fouling out. Sarah D’Amico added 12 points.

Kaitlin Cornwell and Colleen Carlson scored 13 and 12 points respectively for the Lancers.

Edwardsburg outscored Berrien Springs 26-14 in the second half to cruise to a 43-27 Lakeland Conference girls’ basketball victory Friday night.

The Eddies (2-1, 2-0 Lakeland) led just 8-5 after eight minutes of action and 17-13 at halftime.

Edwardsburg held just a 29-24 lead after three quarters, but outscored the Shamrocks 13-3 in the final period.

Sarah D’Amico scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Eddies, who also got 10 points from Ashley Streb and six points each from Olivia Hack and Branda Fleshauer.

Gabby Dortch led Berrien Springs with 11 points.
