VICKSBURG — The Niles wrestling team opened its season with a pair of victories Wednesday night at the Vicksburg Quad.

The Vikings (2-0) defeated the host Bulldogs 46-24 and Allegan’s B team 58-12.

Earning two victories on the night were Brendon Meek, Nicholas Zimmerman, Justin Jones, Darek Mills, Cole Allison, Casey Burandt, Donte Stevens, Fritzel Findeisen and Ryan Casey.

“We looked a little sloppy and out of shape,” Niles coach Todd Hesson said. “But I can’t complain too much because we got two wins. Sean Craig wrestled well and Ryan Casey did a good job for us at 189. Cole Allison also wrestled well.
