Andrews University hosts the  opening reception of “Ivan LaBianca in Libya: An Exhibition of Photography” in the Art & Design Gallery of Smith Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
The exhibit will remain on display through Dec. 8. LaBianca, 24, of Berrien Springs,  is an anthropology major at Andrews University. His passion for photography led him to take a semester off from college to travel to North Africa twice this year.
While there, he documented the Libyan revolution as it swept across the country. His photos from before and after the fall of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime have been published by major news outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, The Daily Mail and NYTimtes.com.
