• Holiday Tea: From 1 to 2 p.m. on Dec. 1, the library will host an adult holiday tea with traditional tea fare. Registration is required. Call (269) 465-3663.

• Food for Fines:   The program runs through Jan. 9. The program will accept unopened, unexpired nonperishable food items, paper products, personal hygiene items, laundry detergent, dish soap and disposable diapers.  If you owe fines or have overdue books that still need to be returned, now is the time to do it.  Items donated will benefit the Bridgman/Lake Township community and distributed by Bridgman Cares.

• Superhero Ice Cream Party: On Dec. 3 from 1 to 2 p.m., the event is for  children ages 4 to 10.  There will be a story, a superhero craft and ice cream in the Louise Christensen Room. Superheroes may come dressed as their secret identity or in their costume.  Call the library at (269) 465-3663 to register.

• “Introduction to the Internet and Email:”  Classes are Dec. 2, Dec. 9 and Dec. 16 from 10:15 a.m. until noon.  Computer instructor Lane Kuypers has been helping people learn the basics of computers for many years. Learn how to set up an email account and how to search on the internet. Classes are free but limited to three students per session. Registration is required. Call (269) 465-3663.

• Need a Read book group: This group meets the second Wednesday of every month at 2 p.m. to discuss which books they have read and recommend.

• Heart Lessons: The library will host a  Lakeland HealthCare
class at 1 p.m. Dec. 14. The class will identify risk factors for heart disease and identify lifestyle changes that may help decrease the risk of heart disease. Registration is encouraged but not required; walk-ins are welcome.

• Family Game Day: From 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 10, the library hosts Family Game Day.

• Amazing Family Movie Mondays: Show times are 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The movie for Dec. 5 is “Elf.” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is Dec. 12, and the original “Miracle on 34th Street” is Dec. 19.   No registration required.
