Mary Helen Hodges, 84, formerly of Vandalia, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at the home of her son in Kenosha, Wis.

She was born Dec. 12, 1926 in Three Rivers, Mich. to Gideon and Lula Marie (Robinson) Yoder.
She married Elmer L. Hodges on April 16, 1948 in Vandalia. He preceded her in death on Sunday, Sept. 18, 1977.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lily Kirkwoo, and Beatrice Hodges, who died Aug. 31, 2011.
Helen was a homemaker and worked in quality control for PerPak.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Denise Hodges of Kenosha, Kenneth and Chris Hodges of Norway, Mich.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Marie Hunsberger of Decatur, Mich., Florence Weatherly of Georgia, Catherine Smith of Melbourne, Florida, Ruth Spangler of Niles; and three brothers, Leonard Yoder of Albuquerque, N.Y., Raymond Yoder of Wisconsin and David Yoder of Dowagiac.
Family and friends gathered Sunday, Oct. 2 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway St., Cassopolis, Mich. and again Monday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Martha Cooper officiated.
Helen was laid to rest next to her husband in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Penn Township.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connelly Chapel, Wagner Family Funerals, Cassopolis.
