Alejandro and Ruth Ann Rodriguez

Alejandro (Geneo) Rodriguez Felisciano and Ruth Ann (Mills) Rodriguez are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today. Justice of the Peace Jerry Lauver married them in Buchanan on Oct. 7, 1961.
They have five children: Alex, Tony (Melissa), John Sr. (Hope) and Amelio (Paula), all of Niles, and Marie (Ira) Fox of Buchanan.
They have 11 grandchildren: Monica Schlutt, Sheridan Whitman, John Rodriguez Jr., Richard Rodriguez, Tori Rodriguez, Dakota Rodriguez and Nevada Rodriguez, Michael and Richard Newcomer and Nike and Symanthe Fox.
They have one great-grandson, Andrew James Perrine.
They met in junior high school and have lived in Niles most of their married lives.
Al has worked as a mechanic most of his life in places like Chevy Garage, M & R Trucking, West Motors and Davis Trucking. Ruth worked at Heidelberg Inn, Holiday Inn, Ramada Inn, The Salvation Army Store and Nicky’s Cafe.
