1941 Studebaker wins Best of Show

It rained on the parade of the 21st annual Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce Rod and Roll Classic Auto Show organized for the first time by Jennifer and Dave Stolpe, owners of Dowagiac Auto Body, and Kris Lamphere, owner of WHO kNEW consignment.

Dwayne Creighton of Bremen, Ind.’s 1941 Studebaker received the Best of Show trophy sponsored by Dowagiac Auto Body from 180 registered vehicles and motorcycles.

Miss Dowagiac Gabrielle Dorman selected as her favorite for the Queen’s Choice award sponsored by Dowagiac Auto Body a 1957 Ford Thunderbird driven by Fred Moritz of Bloomingdale.

Fourteen businesses underwrote tophies, including 1st Choice Automotive, A-1 Tree Service, Beeson Street Bar and Grill, Bonomo’s Collision Center, Creative Vinyl, Dowagiac Auto Body, Dowagiac Auto Service, Flint’s Automotive, Friends and Family in honor of Cory Simmons, Honor Credit Unioni, John and Curt’s Brake and Alignment, Laurie Anne’s, Snap-on Tools/Wayne Browning and Steinman’s Shell.
