A preliminary examination for Ivery Cross scheduled for this morning at the Niles courthouse has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 19 at 8:30 a.m.

His attorney, Andy Burch, has requested more time to review the case. Cross was scheduled to appear in court this morning only to formally request an adjournment on the record.

A preliminary exam conference will be held Friday at 8:30 a.m.

Cross, 26, is a former police officer for the Niles Police Department who is charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct in the 1st degree, two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the 2nd degree and one count of obstructing justice.
