At its first 2011 meeting Monday night at City Hall, Dowagiac Planning Commission voted to retain Chairman Robert Frontczak and Vice Chairman Dale Hutchings, deputy fire chief.
Planners are also recommending to City Council the rezoning change requested by John Hess, 108 Oak St., from general business district to office service district, removing non-conforming status of current residential use.
Such a change would permit a property owner to refinance, so planners recommend the same for the only other house on that block, 104 Oak St.
