1 new candidate files for Niles school board

Several area school board members are running for re-election in the school board election on May 3. The filing deadline was Tuesday.

Brandywine Community Schools has one four-year seat on the ballot. Dennis Cooper, a Niles resident who currently is board president, has filed for re-election and will run unopposed.

Niles Community Schools has two four-year terms up for election. Niles resident Dana Daniels, who is serving as president of the school board, is running again. Michael Waldron, of Niles, is serving as vice president and is also seeking another term. Jeffrey Harrell, of Niles, is a new candidate.
