Two teens were injured in an accident Jan. 27 in Porter Township.

Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that at 3:30 p.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury crash on Union Road south of U.S. Highway 12.

Samantha Shreiner, 18, was traveling southbound on Union Road, when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy/snowy conditions striking a tree. Her passenger, Cody Slabaugh, 18, was also injured.

Both were transported to Elkhart General Hospital by Porter Township Ambulance.

Assisting the sheriff’s office were Porter Township Fire and Ambulance.
