The host Cassopolis wrestling team went 4-0 on Saturday to capture the Steve Linton Memorial Wrestling Duals.

The Rangers defeated Martin 51-26, St. Joseph 64-12, Lakeshore 39-31 and Eau Claire 54-24.

Lakeshore finished second at 3-1, while Martin was third at 2-2, St. Joseph fourth at 1-3 and Eau Claire fifth at 0-4.

Going undefeated on the day for Cassopolis were Khalil Brown (103), Shauntrel Gillam (112), Lucky Thammavongsa (119), Ian Montgomery (171) and Dominic Forbes (189). Posting a 3-1 record for the Rangers were Tyler Butrick (135), Bretho Danzy (140) and Jaylin Lawson (160).

The Cassopolis wrestling team was edged by Brandywine in a Lakeland Conference match on Jan. 19.

The Bobcats defeated the Rangers 42-39.

Between the two matches there was just one decision. The remaining 27 weight classes were decided by either pin or forfeit.

Picking up a pair of wins for the Bobcats were Jimmie Wright (119, 125) and Chanc Ravish (130). Earning a victory against the Rangers were Jeff Cornell (119), Trevor Jones (160), A.J. Shell (215) and Bryan Lee (285).

Picking up a win against the Shamrocks were Paul Lochmondy (103), Terrin Norris (140), Joe Monica (171) and Michael Lewark (171).

The Rangers ended the evening with a pair of losses as they were defeated by conference-leading Buchanan, 62-6.
