The Niles freshmen boys’ basketball team improved to 7-0 Thursday night with a 69-49 victory over visiting Marshall.

The Vikings were led by Tate Brawley’s game-high 29 points, five assists and two steals. Niles also got 10 points and three assists from Greg Jones and eight points from Tate Rudlaff.

JV basketball

The Niles JV boys’ basketball team was also a winner over Marshall Thursday night as the Vikings posted a 62-36 victory.

Alec Brown led Nles with 25 points, while Rodney Applewhite added eight points and seven rebounds.

Mitchell Dehn and Anthony Bice both grabbed five rebounds.

Freshmen basketball

The Niles freshmen girls’ team was defeated by Marshall 25-23 Thursday night.

Tala Gentry led the Vikings with eight points.
