NHS drive yields 2,524 food items

Dowagiac Union High School’s National Honor Society chapter after school Monday afternoon gathered up the 2,524 food items collected during its annual holiday food drive and delivered the boxes in a caravan of vehicles to the food pantry at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Courtland Street. The two-week drive beat the 1,952 food items NHS collected in 2009.
