Explorer Post 602 members are (from left): Captain Devonte Hureskin (Benton Harbor), Lt. Jenna Durham (Eau Claire), Devyn Roberts (Niles) and Sgt. Hannah Salvetti (St. Joseph).

Four area youth have recently returned from competing at the 2010 Law Enforcement Exploring Nationals in Atlanta.
The team of four Explorers represented the top 10 percent of Explorers in the U.S. They were testing in emergency first aid, search and seizure and building search exercises.
Exploring is for young adults who reside in Berrien County and have a desire to learn about law enforcement. Explorers attend regularly scheduled training sessions and are mentored by law enforcement professionals. In addition, Explorers are very active in supporting community events throughout Berrien County. Law Enforcement Exploring is promoted by Learning for Life.
Explorer Post 602 is sponsored by the FOP Lodge 96 and hosted through the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
