Kalamazoo College center back Philip Turner, a senior from Edwardsburg, anchored the Hornets’ defense as they allowed just one goal in a pair of MIAA victories. Kalamazoo defeated Adrian, 3-1 and Hope 1-0 to move into a second-place tie in the MIAA, just one point behind first-place Calvin.

Turner was honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Turner was a 2007 graduate of Edwardsburg High School.  He was a 2 year captain, and 3 year All-Conference selection.

He is pursuing a degree in Economics at Kalamazoo College, where he is a 4 year letter-winner.
