RICHLAND — Hazen McMeeken scored a pair of goals, the Dowagiac soccer team dropped a 6-3 Wolverine Conference decision to host Gull Lake Wednesday night.

The Chieftains trailed 4-1 at halftime as Craig Zebell had the Dowagiac goal.

In the second half, McMeeken scored both goals with Zebell getting the assist on the first score and Alvero Scherer picking up the assist on the second.

Dowagiac’s Jason Turner stopped 20 of Gull Lake’s 28 shots on goal.

The Chieftains finished with 17 shots.
