CASSOPOLIS — Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on Sunday, July 25, at 1:58 p.m., his office was called to investigate a personal-injury crash that occurred at the intersection of Marcellus Highway and Glenwood Road in Wayne Township.
Christina Scribner, 17, of San Antonio, Texas, was southbound on Glenwood when, after stopping at the sign, she failed to see an oncoming vehicle and entered the intersection.
Donna Doyle, 49, of Cassopolis, was traveling west on Marcellus Highway and had no way to avoid collision with Scribner’s vehicle.
All persons in the vehicle Scribner was driving were treated on scene and released.
Doyle was transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment.
Safety belts were used. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, deputies reported.
Assisting were Wayne Township Fire Department, Coloma Emergency Medical Service (CEMS) and Pokagon Tribal Police. This case remains under investigation.
