The Dowagiac 8U girls’ softball All-Stars played in the Coloma/Hagar Softball Tournament this past weekend and finished fourth.

They defeated North Lincoln B 15-14, South Haven 8-1, Berrien Springs 13-4 and Bridgman 7-5 to advance to the semifinals.

Dowagiac lost to Harris Heat 12-0 in the semifinals on Sunday night.

The All-Stars played in the consolation game on Monday night against North Lincoln A and lost 13-2 to finish in fourth place out of 13 teams.

Dowagiac will be playing in the Lakeshore Invitational Tournament this coming weekend.

Little League baseball
The Dowagiac 13-14 All-Stars were in action Wednesday night in the consolation bracket of the Little League District 15 tournament.

Dowagiac  took on Three Rivers at Niles F.O.P. Park with the winner advancing to Friday’s consolation quarterfinals.

Dowagiac fell into the consolation bracket after suffering a 9-4 loss at the hands of Schoolcraft.

The title game is slated for July 21 in Niles.
