Linda Kay (Rockwell) Moore, 61, of Niles passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at home, with her family by her side.

Linda was born on Dec. 11, 1948 in Niles to Paul and Ethel Rockwell.

Linda worked as a dishwasher for J.D.’s Truck Stop for more than 11 years. Linda loved to spend her free time singing karaoke, playing Yahtzee and rummy, dancing, playing bingo, listening to music and collecting Tweety memorabilia. No matter what Linda was doing she was always worried about the well being of others around her, helping out in any way she could, especially when it came to her children.

She is preceded in death by her father, Paul Rockwell, and stepfather, Gaylen Lund.
Linda is survived by her mother, Ethel Lund, of Niles; two sons, Terry Richmond (Dwight Weimer), of Niles, Everett Richmond, of Niles; three grandchildren, Jennifer Kennedy, Derek McKay and Amanda Adkins; one great-grandson, David Adkins; and siblings, Donald (Ruth) Rockwell, of Elkhart, Ind., Patricia Lintz, of Niles, Edward (Lois) Rockwell, of Niles and Sandra (Tim) Wilson, of Niles; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to honor the wonderful life that Linda lived will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 1 p.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior. Pastor Tim Rowland of River Oaks Community Church will be officiating.  Linda will be laid to rest at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
