EAU CLAIRE – The Dowagiac JV golf team wrapped up its season with a 178-213 win over host Berrien Springs on Monday at Indian Lake Hills Golf Course.

The Chieftains’ score marked the second straight match that the team posted a season low score.

Joey Gajewski earned medalist honors as he shot a 43.

Teammate Cam Ruff was second with a 44.

Dowagiac also got a 45 from Anthony Nelson, a 46 from Marc Tyrakowski, a 49 from Jonathan Robinson and a 49 from Paul Lamphere.

The Chieftains finish the season with an impressive 9-2 record.

“They had a great year as you can tell by their record,” Dowagiac coach Mike Pallas said. “I’m really proud of the way they practiced and the way they focused during their matches. A very competitive and hard working group of players.”
