The Edwardsburg and Cassopolis baseball teams both picked up sweeps Tuesday night.
The Eddies defeated Coloma 5-4 and 2-1 in a Lakeland Conference doubleheader, while the Rangers swept River Valley in a non-league twinbill.

Ethan Moreno and Zach Thompson combined to toss a five-hitter in the opening game for the Eddies with 13 strikeouts and just two walks.

A four-run seventh inning propelled Edwardsburg to the come-from-behind win.
Thompson earned the victory in relief of Moreno.

Kyle Ramsey had three hits and Trevor Milliken two for the Eddies.

In the second game, Evan Zimmerman worked all five innings, allowing two hits with six strikeouts and one walk.

Neither team generated much offense in the nightcap, which was halted after five innings due to darkness.

The Eddies had just one hit in the contest.

Edwardsburg scored both runs in the third inning to erase a 1-0 Coloma advantage.
