Lake Michigan College offering golf workshop

Lake Michigan College’s Bertrand Crossing Campus is offering a non-credit Community Education workshop on learning the basics of the game of golf.
The course will include golf rules, etiquette and terminology. This class is suitable for a beginner or intermediate level golfer.
Beginner level players will learn proper grip, stance, swing posture and purpose of the various golf clubs. For intermediate players, topics will include chipping, using a variety of approach shots including the lob shot, as well as solutions for hooking and slicing. Participants will play on a golf course in a mixed scotch-foursome and/or scramble format.
Classes will be offered on Fridays, from April 23 through May 28, from 6-7 p.m., at Orchard Hills Country Club, 2841 Niles-Buchanan Road in Buchanan.
Orchard Hills PGA professional Chuck Pullen will be the instructor.
Cost of this class is $49 per person.
