Eddies go 4-1 at Union City tourney

UNION CITY – The Edwardsburg wrestling team braved the elements on Saturday and traveled to Union City for a wrestling invitational.

The Eddies were 4-1 on the day, their lone loss a 35-34 decision to Schoolcraft in the championship match.

Edwardsburg defeated Olivet 63-16, host Union City 57-22, Haslett 46-25 and Rainbow Team 72-12.

Michael Borden, Michael Kempton and Wade Smous all posted 5-0 records for the Eddies, while Brandon Parsons, Terry Brasfield and J.P. Williams were all 4-1.

Justin Steinke and Stephen Coble were 3-1 and 3-2 respectively. Lane Smous was 2-1.
