Hillary Kring of Edwardsburg and Evan Whitney of Edwardsburg are engaged to be married. The wedding is to be on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church 501 N. Grant St. Niles.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary (Mark) Howie of Edwardsburg and Dennis (Diane) Kring of Mishawaka, Ind.
The prospective groom is the son of Jane and Gary Whitney of Niles.
Maternal grandparents of the bride-to-be are the late Genevieve and Michael Guljas of South Bend, Ind.
Paternal grandparents of the bride-to be are Helen and the late Joseph Kring of Mishawaka, Ind.
Maternal grandparents of the prospective groom are Nena and Jack Schram of Troy.
His paternal grandparents are the late Marilyn and Robert Whitney of Niles.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Western Michigan University.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Michigan Technological University.
Bridal attendants will include: Christina Wodecki, Sarah Payton, Amanda Davies, Cara Fraser, Emily Whitney, Abigail Kaiser and Catherine McCain.
Their dresses will be two-piece satin turquoise gown empire band on the strapless bodice with white waist tie sash. A multitude of pick-ups shape the skirt.
Flowers will be white roses and mums.
The groom’s attendants will include: Michael Bradley, Daniel Whitney, Vincent Banicki, Chad Kring, Bruce DeWulf II, Christopher Lutz, Matthew Kring, Eric Payton, Brandon Krisher, Ryan Kaiser and Ryan Lingerfelt.
The couple will be traveling to Mexico for their honeymoon.
