Three arrested in narcotics raid

On Tuesday, at approximately 4:15 p.m., the Berrien County Sheriff Department’s Narcotics Unit with assistance from the Berrien County Sheriff Department’s Road Patrol and the Niles City Police Department executed a search warrant for illegal narcotics at 604 N. 15th St. in the City of Niles, following a week-long investigation into narcotic activity at this residence.

This investigation began after the Berrien County Sheriff Department’s Narcotics Unit had received complaints from area citizens in regards to suspected narcotic activity at this residence.

During the execution of the search warrant, the deputies seized marijuana from various rooms inside of this residence as well as several pieces of narcotic paraphernalia.
The officers also seized a police scanner, which was operational and “turned on” at the time of the search warrant execution. The deputies also seized two firearms from inside of this residence.

All three occupants at the residence were arrested and lodged at the Berrien County Jail pending their arraignments in the Berrien County Trial Court.

Tracy Marie Crespo, 46, of the above address, was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Maintaining a Drug House and Possession of a Police Scanner during the Commission of a Crime.

David John Crespo Jr., 29, same address, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Maintaining a Drug House.

The third resident of that address, Dillon Wayne Crespo, 17, was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
