Hunter Safety Class begins Thursday
The Dowagiac Conservation Club will be hosting a Hunter Safety Course on Aug. 6-8.
Late registration is being accepted on Thursday before 6 p.m.
You must have a birth certificate to register.
Classes will be held on Thursday, Aug. 6 and Friday, Aug. 7 from 6-9 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 8, class will be held from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
You must attend all three classes to receive your certificate.

Belew Memorial Golf Outing Saturday
The 3rd Annual Kameron Belew Memorial Golf Outing is slated for Saturday at Spruce Ridge Golf Club.
Tee time for the four-man scramble event is 2 p.m.
Cost is $60 per person, which includes a hog roast dinner after the outing.

DUHS volleyball tryouts scheduled for Aug. 10
Dowagiac will hold volleyball tryouts on Monday, Aug. 10 at the Union High School from 5-7 p.m.
Benny’s Barber Shop Golf Outing Aug. 9
The fourth annual Benny’s Barber Shop Golf Outing, a four-man scramble, will take place Sunday, Aug. 9, at noon at Spruce Ridge.

7th Annual Frazier Memorial Aug. 15
The 7th Annual Bryan Frazier Memorial Softball Tournament will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15 at Dowagiac’s Rotary Park.

All proceeds go to the Bryan Frazier Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Knights of Columbus golf outing Sept. 12
The Knights of Columbus No. 2113 will be hosting a charity golf outing on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Plym Park in Niles.
The golf outing’s major benefactor will be the John Tuka Memorial Scholarship.
The four-person scramble event is slated to begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Cost is $50 per person, which includes greens fees, cart, lunch and beverages.
There will also be a longest drive contest, closest to the pin and 50/50 drawings.
