CONSTANTINE – The Niles Senior Baseball All-Stars edged host Constantine 2-1 on Saturday to advance to the Michigan District 15 championship on Tuesday at Thomas Stadium.

The game is scheduled to be played at 8 p.m.

Niles, which lost to Vicksburg 11-9 last week, must defeat them twice to win the district title.

If a second championship game is needed, it will be played on Wednesday at Thomas Stadium beginning at 8 p.m.

The Niles 13-14 All-Stars was also in the championship game.

Niles edged Schoolcraft 1-0 in the semifinals to advance.

Schoolcraft defeated Three Rivers 24-4 in the consolation finals to reach the title game.
Schoolcraft then defeated Niles 10-9 on Friday night to claim the district title.

In the 10-11 Division, Dowagiac will play Coldwater in the consolation finals tonight in Constantine at 6 p.m.

The winner advance to the title game against Mattawan on Wednesday in Constantine at 6 p.m.

A second title game, if needed, will be played on Thursday in Constantine at 6 p.m.
