Buchanan man found with drugs

BUCHANAN – On Tuesday, July 14, members of the Buchanan City Police Department received information of marijuana being manufactured in the Township of Buchanan.
The Buchanan City Police Department then contacted the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department for assistance with this investigation.
That day, members of the Berrien County Sheriff Department’s Narcotics Unit and the Buchanan City Police Department proceeded to 13612 N. Main St., where the officers discovered evidence of marijuana being manufactured at that location.
During a search of this residence, the officers also discovered components and ingredients used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines.
During this investigation, the officers seized several marijuana plants, a small amount of processed marijuana, ingredients and components used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines, and a small amount of processed methamphetamines.
A Hazardous Waste Material Company was dispatched to the scene to remove the hazardous waste, which is generated in the process of manufacturing methamphetamines.
Aubrey Lee Christian, 31, who resides at this residence, and who is currently on probation for previous narcotic related convictions was arrested and lodged at the Berrien County Jail pending his arraignment in the Berrien County Trial Courts.
He was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Laboratory components/ingredients 2nd Offense, Possession of Methamphetamines 2nd Offense, Manufacturing Marijuana 2nd Offense, Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense, Maintaining a Drug House 2nd Offense and Probation Violation Detainer.
