Mathews-Wilkinson
Dr. David Mathews, president of Southwestern Michigan College, is engaged to be married to Sarah Wilkinson of Dowagiac.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary Wilkinson.
She was co-valedictorian of her DUHS class, earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Hope College and her juris doctorate degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Miss Wilkinson was recently admitted to the Michigan State Bar Association.
She is the law clerk for Cass County Circuit Judge Michael E. Dodge.
President Mathews is the son of Dr. Fred and Thelda Mathews of Dowagiac.
He was also valedictorian of his DUHS class, earned a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and his Ph.D. in mathematics from North Carolina State University.
A Feb. 14, 2009, wedding is planned.
