The Dowagiac varsity wrestling team will kick off its season on Wednesday night with a trip to Buchanan for a non-conference match.
The Chieftains will then head over to Vicksburg for the annual Bulldog Invitational on Saturday.
Joining the Chieftains and Bulldogs will be Brandywine, Mattawan, Portage Central and Three Rivers.
Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on three mats.
Admission is $5 and concessions will be available throughout the day.
In the opening round, Dowagiac will take on Mattawan, while Brandywine will face Three Rivers and Vicksburg will wrestle Portage Central.
In the second round, the Chieftains and Bobcats will square off, while Vicksburg will wrestle Three Rivers and Portage Central will take on Mattawan.
Dowagiac will face Three Rivers in the third match of the game, while Brandywine will face Portage Central and Vicksburg will take on Mattawan.
The fourth round will have Vicksburg facing Dowagiac, Brandywine facing Mattawan and Portage Central facing Three Rivers.
The fifth round will pit Dowagiac against Portage Central, Brandywine against Vicksburg and Three Rivers against Mattawan.
