NILES – Bruno D. Smoke, 73, of Broadway Street, Niles, passed following a year-long battle with cancer in his family's home with his wife Jacqueline by his side.
Bruno, the "Martin's Deli Guy," is the father of Dr. Steven (Brenda) Smoke of Buchanan.
At Bruno's request, an immediate cremation will take place.
Arrangements are pending for a funeral mass to be offered at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Buchanan along with a memorial service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bruno's name to Hospice at Home Inc. of Buchanan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, both of Niles.
