The Old Rugged Cross (ORC) Foundation's colorful 2009 wall calendar features a special series of "then" and "now" photographs, demonstrating the significant restoration progress on The Original Old Rugged Cross Church in Pokagon.
The calendar is available by calling the foundation at (269) 683-4540, or by visiting the ORC tables at "Gifts, Greens and Goodies," a Saturday, Dec. 6, Christmas bazaar sponsored by the Pokagon United Methodist Church.
The bazaar will be at the Sam Adams Middle School's cafeteria in Cassopolis, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The school is on State Street (M-60) just east of the downtown traffic light.
Turn onto Depot Street for parking and cafeteria access.
"The 2009 calendar is a collector's item," said Bob Schaffer, foundation president. "It is unique in its photographic summary of most of the major restoration work to date.
"We are pleased to have the calendar available just in time for Christmas gifts," he said, "because it also is a testimony to the generosity of our supporters who have made this work possible."
Shaffer said the calendar is the foundation's sixth annual depiction of progress at the one-acre Old Rugged Cross Historic Site, which also includes The Old Rugged Cross Memorial Garden.
The bazaar also will include items to benefit maintenance of the garden, which can be scheduled for weddings and other special events.
Calendars are available for a donation of $20 or more, each.
The shipping cost for mailing a calendar is $2.
