Two surrender to drug team in Volinia Township

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announces that on Wednesday, Nov. 26, detectives and sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a suspicious odor at a residence in the 16000 block of Finch Road in Volinia Township.
After an investigation, a search warrant for the residence was obtained.
Two suspects in the home initially refused instruction by law enforcement to come outside.
After approximately three hours, detectives were able to get an adult male and adult female to surrender themselves.
A search of the residence revealed a clandestine methamphetamine lab, suspected methamphetamine and suspected marijuana.
The male suspect was arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house and possession of marijuana.
The female suspect was arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.
Both suspects were lodged at the Cass County Jail on the charges.
