Today, Nov. 14
5 p.m. – Join Keeler United Methodist Church, corner of C.R. 687 and Territorial Road East, for a traditional turkey dinner until 7. Menu includes: turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, vegetable, rolls, beverage and dessert. Take-out available. Donations accepted.
Saturday, Nov. 15
Dowagiac District Library closed today and Saturday, Nov. 22. New carpeting will be installed at those times, according to Director Mike Shamalla. The public computer system will not be available on Friday, Nov. 21.
Tuesday, Nov. 18
7 p.m. – Cass County Historical Society meets at Cass District Library, 319 M-62, Cassopolis. Marilyn Fry presents the program, "A Nickel's Worth of Skim Milk." The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
Wednesday, Nov. 19
6:30 p.m. – Cass District Library's 2009 budget review and hearing in the library's Silver Room, 319 M-62 North, Cassopolis.
Thursday, Nov. 20
4 p.m. – Regular Cass County Board of Commissioners meeting in the commission chambers, 120 N. Broadway, Suite 217, Cassopolis.
5 p.m. – A community Thanksgiving turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served until 7 p.m. at Peace Temple Church of God in Christ, 102 Andrews St. This dinner is open to all at no charge. In-town delivery is available for the sick and elderly. If this service is needed, please call the church by 4 p.m. Nov. 20 at (269) 782-9055.
Saturday, Nov. 22
8 a.m. – Cass County Board of Commissioners workshop.
