Anniversary

James and Marilyn Dye of Dowagiac celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 11 with a Mass of Thanksgiving and a renewal of vows at 5 p.m. at Holy Matnerity of Mary Catholic Church.
A dinner for the immediate family was served on Sunday, Oct. 12.
James Dewey Dye and Marilyn Jean Weber were married at Christ the King Catholic Church in South Bend, Ind., on Oct. 11, 1958.
They have six children: Mrs. Eileen (Jerry) Toney of Cassopolis, Mrs. Karen (Dale Jr.) Jasper of St. Joseph, Mrs. Patricia (Don) Mather and Mrs. Shirley (William) Larson of Dowagiac, James G. Dye of Texas and Mrs. Helen (Tom) Hartsell of Three Rivers.
They also have 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dye retired from Adams Engineering in South Bend.
Mrs. Dye retired from the Herald-Palladium.
They both volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul store in Dowagiac – she as president and manager and he as the repairman.
The Dyes have lived in Dowagiac for 38 years.
